This is one day after starting with my new conditioner and shampoo set! It's so fluffy and silky~~~~!! I can really feel the difference from my previous shampoos and conditioners. And after washing with the Advante-Inkarami combo I finally understood what commercials meant by 'more manageable hair'. When I woke up this morning, my bed hair wasn't as wild as usual. And it was definitely easier to fix my hair. Usually, I would have to straighten my hair thoroughly layer by layer, especially in the inner layers, to give it a softer and smoother look. But the shampoo and conditioner made my hair smoother (in the sense that it's straight instead of bending in weird ways), so I just needed to curl and align my hair tips to how I wanted them to be.
I also noticed the roots are also much more manageable too. Usually, I struggle with fixing my fringe because I like to sweep my hair against my follicle orientation, but after washing with Advante it feels easier to set it. Plus my hair roots are usually dead flat in my crowing area is now standing up more, so it doesn't have this weird flat portion that refuses to balance out when I tie up my hair.
(Note that I've started the daily routine of blowing dry my hair before using my new shampoo after being strongly advised by all of my colleagues, so it's definitely not just a blow-drying issue /Laughs/. )
I totally forgot to get a before picture, so here's one very bad-quality picture for comparison. ( ´∀` ; This is the hair of someone who just Shampoos daily, uses conditioner about 3 times in 2 weeks, and applies treatment oil whenever I feel like it. /laughs/
Though it was by no means horrible before you can still see how frayed and stiff the ends are.
Oh! By the way, the scalp itch became less obvious so it seems like the shampoo does suit my scalp, so yippie for that part too!
Now the most important part.. my bleached hair! I've spent most of my life thinking that "bleached hair = unsalvageable dry hair". In fact, it was still a bit dry, somewhat straw-like with my previous routine. But woah, does it feel smooth to the touch today! Like, I can't feel much difference from my unbleached dyed hair.
It's very likely that Tokio Inkarami played the biggest role in maintaining the silky smoothness.
⚠️ An important note from our bleach expert⚠️
The reason why my hair can remain this smooth and hydrated is that he applied a protective coating before bleaching my hair, which reduces the initial damage. And with the treatments done on top of it is what makes this hair possible!
Think of it this way, if you boil a raw egg, it will coagulate and turn into a boiled egg. And even if you keep it dry or moist, the egg will either dry out and become like rubber or will stay moist, but it will never return to a watery raw egg. The logic works the same for our hair because it is also made out of protein. Once the chemical damage is done, it remains there. You may coat it with treatments but the fundamental structure is this overly-cooked protein.
This is why some people who bleach their hair have difficulty salvaging their hair even if they spam treatments. Apparently, this damage will also affect the color adsorption of hair dyes. So for those who want beautiful bleached-color hair, it's best to take note of this and make sure your stylist or yourself are doing the proper care before bleaching!
Thanks, boss!
Whelp, this was really a long blog but I'm so excited to share what I've learned today. Hope this was useful information for fellow novice readers! Now then, since I'm a low-maintenance slob, I will be skipping my Inkarami Treatment (hair conditioner) for a few days, and let's see how the result will be!
